Skew text, also called slanted text, sheared text, leaning text or an italic-style slant, is a text effect in which the word is sheared sideways into a straight slant; makers use it for speed and sports logos, racing decals and headings with a lean. To make skew text online, type your text in the box above, keep the Skew style selected and drag the Bend slider until the shape reads at a glance. It is the same shape as skewX in CSS. Download it as a transparent PNG (up to 1,600 px on its longest side on the free plan), as a cut-ready SVG that opens at its real size in Cricut Design Space and Silhouette Studio (Plus), or as a two-line CSS transform. It works with more than 1,900 Google Fonts. Using the Skew style
Skew works best on short, bold words. Start around a Bend of 0.5 and adjust until the shape reads at thumbnail size. The Horizontal and Vertical distortion sliders add a perspective taper on top, the same way Photoshop's Warp Text dialog does.
This style can be expressed as a pure CSS transform, so the code panel gives you a two-line rule.
